★★★☆☆

An actor’s nightmare, everyone knows, is forgetting a line onstage. In a variation on that popular horror, one of the performers in Once Off Productions’s smart play Guest Host Stranger Ghost admits to a different dream – one where they keep showing up to the wrong venue!

This too is the ingenious conceit of Kate Heffernan’s playscript, written to be staged in theatres belonging to other productions. An absurdist drama about renters in limbo, the play is similarly forced to find new residences.
